Welcome to the 9th European conference on Deaflindness in Aalborg, Denmark, 2017 Print E-mail

9conference2016 At the final plenary of the 8th European conference on Deaflindness in Lille 2013, the main conclusion was that the two “sides of deafblindness” need to interact and learn more of each other. There is a need to look at the commonalities across deafblindness and to relate the knowledge of acquired deafblindness and congenital deafblindness to each other in such a way that one completes the other.

Call for Nominations - EUFAPA Awards Print E-mail

In order to honor outstanding achievements in the field of APA in Europe the European Federation of Adapted Physical Activity (EUFAPA) calls for nominations for EUFAPA awards! These will be announced during the next European Congress (EUCAPA) to be held June 15 – 17, 2016 in Olomouc, Czech Republic. EUFAPA Awards are conferred in 3 categories:

European Transplant Sport Week Print E-mail

VAU are pleased to host the EU co-funded European Transplant Sport Week (ETSW) that takes place in Vantaa, Finland between the 10th – 17th July 2016. There are a number of activities that takes place during the week, which run parallel to the European Heart and Lung Transplant Championships and European Transplant and Dialysis Sport Championships

Sports for all events
Researchers Workshops and Symposium
The researchers workshop takes place on the Monday 11th July -Thursday 14th July. Just as the workshops end on the Thursday, the two day symposium begins. Deadlines for presentations has been extended until March 31st 2016.

The IFAPA community is warmly invited to submit their research and attend the symposium. David Howe, former Vice President of IFAPA is among the invited speakers for the symposium. More information can be found on the ETSW website.

Dear All

I hope you are all well. The UNESCO Chair and our Intelligent Mechatronics and Radio-Frequency Research Centre are members of the DOCTRID ASSISTED Marie Curie Co Fund. We are calling for interested applicants to work on proposals for submission prior to June 2016. We need expressions of interest by Friday 26th March 2016.

The proposals need to be in the field of Assisted Technologies for those with Autism, Intellectual Disabilities and Dementia. All details are available here:
